SHIELD Passport — Optional Company Discovery
Notice version: 2026-10-16
You control whether participating companies can discover your professional Passport. This choice is optional and separate from access needed for your existing workplace relationship.
Discovery status
Keep my Passport private from company searches.
Allow authorised company recruiters and administrators within SHIELD to find my professional Passport.
If enabled, the search profile will contain only:
- Professional name and chosen profile photograph.
- Professional role, skills and qualification summary.
- General town or area, without your full address or precise coordinates.
- Work availability, if you choose to provide it.
Additional optional choices
- Allow those authorised search users to view my selected CV.
- Allow those authorised search users to see my email address so they can contact me about relevant work.
- Allow those authorised search users to see my telephone number so they can contact me about relevant work.
On the signing page these start unticked, and they are offered only if you allow authorised company search.
Before enabling sharing, I can preview exactly what a company will see.
Discovery does not include my date of birth, home address, precise location, emergency contacts, medical information, Right to Work evidence, identity documents, signature or private workplace records.
I may turn discovery off or withdraw individual permissions in Profile → Agreements and Privacy Choices. Withdrawal stops future access through this feature. It cannot automatically recall information already lawfully received; recipient organisations must handle retained information under their own legal responsibilities.
Refusing or withdrawing these optional permissions does not prevent me using my private Passport or completing authorised workplace tasks.
My choices apply to the stated purposes only. They do not authorise unrelated marketing or sale of my personal information.
